FHE at Brenda's house! By: Auriana

We went up to Brenda's condo in Pleasant Grove for family home evening.  My Dad and Brenda worked in Brenda's garden for about 2 hours because it was dying and my Dad is an expert!  They put down gardening soil (the ground that she had for gardening was just hard dirt loaded with rocks) and planted the rest of the plants that she hadn't gotten around to yet.  Everyone helped, it was a lot of fun.  After we were all cleaned up from working (or rather playing) in the dirt,  my Dad gave a short lesson on using our time wisely during the summer and not just wasting the whole summer playing and not doing our small amount of work.  He did a good job.  After he was done Brenda made us ice cream sundaes with brownies, vanilla ice cream, and chocolate syrup.  It was yummy.  After that we played a few short games of tetherball ( I beat Isaac with some tips from my Dad) and went home.  Those kind of nights make me really look forward to the rest of summer vacation!
